The final MaxPreps Regional Baseball Rankings have three new No. 1 teams, with Valley Christian (San Jose, Calif.) in the West and Vianney (Kirkwood, Mo) in the Midwest the only No. 1 teams
to remain in the top spot.
New teams to No. 1 include Carroll (Southlake, Texas) in the Southwest, New Hanover (Wilmington, N.C.) in the South and Center Moriches (New York) in the Northeast.
The regional rankings are based on the MaxPreps
National Baseball Computer Rankings. The team's record and computer
rating are noted in the rankings. Numbers are current as of Friday.
The 50 states are divided into five regions as follows:
West: Hawaii, California, Nevada, Utah, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Alaska, Colorado.
Southwest: Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arizona.
South:
Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina,
North Carolina, Florida, Tennessee, Kentucky, Maryland, Virginia.
Midwest: North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Michigan, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Missouri, Nebraska, Kansas.
Northeast:
Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode
Island, New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Pennsylvania, West Virginia.
