STORYLINES • Lake Travis has been one of the most successful programs in Texas over the last 15 years. The Cavaliers have won six state titles since 2006 and have made the state championship game the past three seasons.
• The Cavaliers have gone 170-18 since 2005 and became the first football program in Texas football history to win five straight state championships (2007-11). They have a good chance to add another state title to the mantle with the players coach Carter has returning.
• Wilson and Card are one of the most dangerous duos in the country. Expect both to have huge seasons in 2018.
• Lake Travis was very young last season and nearly knocked off a great Allen team in the state title game. Expect Lake Travis to be on the short list of teams with a good chance to win a state title with many key pieces returning.
Lake Travis will be led by players (left to right) Hudson Card, Kyle Eaves, Marico Trevino, Matthew Peterman, Kaleb Wenson and Garrett Wilson.
