Texas High School Basketball - Hico topped by De Leon
January 2, 2024: De Leon, TX 76444 The De Leon Bearcats basketball team scored 36 points and restricted the visiting Hico Tigers to 24 in the Bearcats league victory on Tuesday.
The Bearcats now sport a 9-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Tolar for a 2A Region II District 11 contest on Friday, January 5. De Leon will battle a Rattlers team coming off a 1-0 league win over Ranger (Ranger, TX). The Rattlers record now stands at 5-10.
The Tigers (8-10) will now prepare for their contest against Poolville (Poolville, TX). The Monarchs come into the 2A Region II District 11 contest with a 18-4 record. In their last contest, Poolville prevailed over Santo (Santo, TX), 80-35, in a league contest.
