The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the North Schuylkill Spartans (Ashland, PA) and the visiting Hanover Area Hawkeyes (Hanover Township, PA), observed North Schuylkill's basketball team knock off Hanover Area by a score of 59-51.

The Spartans (3-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Minersville (Minersville, PA). The Battlin' Miners come into the Schuylkill County 1 challenge with a 7-2 record. In their last challenge, Minersville prevailed over Williams Valley (Tower City, PA), 77-27, in a non-league challenge.
