The Chestnut Ridge Lions basketball squad (New Paris, PA), was nudged 45-44 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host Homer-Center Wildcats (Homer City, PA)

With the victory, Homer-Center advances its record to 2-7 on the year. The Wildcats host Purchase Line (Commodore, PA) to meet the Red Dragons in a Heritage battle on Friday, January 3. The Red Dragons enter the battle with a record of 6-3. Purchase Line won 58-29 in their recent non-league battle against Curwensville (Curwensville, PA)
