The Wilkes Central Eagles basketball team scored 46 points and held the host Hibriten Panthers to 37 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Eagles now sport a 10-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Surry Central for a 2A Foothills contest on Friday, January 5. Wilkes Central will battle a Golden Eagles team coming off a 67-59 non-league win over Starmount (Boonville, NC). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 7-3.
