Arizona High School Basketball - McClintock holds off Campo Verde
January 4, 2024: Gilbert, AZ 85297 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the McClintock Chargers (Tempe, AZ) and the host Campo Verde Coyotes (Gilbert, AZ), saw McClintock's basketball squad hold off Campo Verde by a tally of 50-45.
With the victory, McClintock improves its record to 12-4 on the campaign. The Chargers travel to Sierra Linda (Phoenix, AZ) to confront the Bulldogs in a 5A Metro challenge on Tuesday, January 9. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 0-10. Sierra Linda lost 57-33 in their recent non-league challenge against Copper Canyon (Glendale, AZ)
Next up, the Coyotes confront the Chaparral Firebirds (Scottsdale, AZ) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 9. Campo Verde will attempt to improve on its 7-5 season record. The Firebirds come into the challenge with a 6-6 record after their 61-60 non-league win over Rancho Solano Prep (Scottsdale, AZ).
