Virginia High School Basketball - Madeira fells Highland
January 4, 2024: McLean, VA 22102 Madeira Snails (McLean, VA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Highland Hawks (Warrenton, VA), 54-36 in a non-league game.
In their next game, the Snails face the Mercersburg Academy Blue Storm (Mercersburg, PA) in a non-league game, on Saturday, January 13. Madeira will attempt to move on its 4-2 season record.
With the defeat, Highland moves to 4-2 on the year. The Hawks travel to Randolph-Macon Academy (Front Royal, VA) to face the Yellow Jackets in a Greater Piedmont game on Friday, January 5. The Yellow Jackets enter the game with a record of 2-1. Randolph-Macon Academy lost 37-26 in their recent non-league game against Mountain View Christian Academy (Winchester, VA)
