The Cardinals enter the battle with a record of 7-5. Cardinal Newman won 63-49 in their recent non-league battle against Westminster Catawba Christian (Rock Hill, SC)
The Cyclones now own a 9-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Palmetto Christian Academy for a SCISA 4A Region II battle on Friday, January 10. Porter-Gaud will meet a squad coming off a 56-52 non-league loss to Charleston Math & Science (Charleston, SC). The record now stands at 2-10.
