The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Natomas Nighthawks (Sacramento, CA) and the host Granada Matadors (Livermore, CA), observed Natomas's basketball team overcome Granada by a score of 74-58.

The Nighthawks (8-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Rio Linda (Rio Linda, CA). The Knights come into the Golden Empire League challenge with a 3-12 record. In their last challenge, Rio Linda dropped by Dixon (Dixon, CA), 56-50, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Matadors battle the Foothill Falcons (Pleasanton, CA) in a East Bay challenge, on Friday, January 10. Granada will attempt to improve on its 6-11 season record.
