The Grovetown Warriors basketball squad (Grovetown, GA), was nudged 56-49 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting North Augusta Yellow Jackets (North Augusta, SC)

With the victory, North Augusta advances its record to 11-0 on the year. The Yellow Jackets travel to Aiken (Aiken, SC) to meet the Fighting Green Hornets in a AAAA Region 4 battle on Tuesday, January 7. The Fighting Green Hornets enter the battle with a record of 7-6. Aiken lost 65-46 in their recent non-league battle against Rock Hill (Rock Hill, SC)

The Warriors now own a 9-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Rockdale County for a AAAAAA Region 4 battle on Tuesday, January 7. Grovetown will meet a Bulldogs squad coming off a 63-54 non-league win over Lithia Springs (Lithia Springs, GA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 10-5.
