In Saturday's non-league test, the Midland Valley Mustangs (Graniteville, SC) basketball squad got by the host Josey Eagles (Augusta, GA), by a score of 55-50.

Next, the Mustangs encounter the Airport Eagles (West Columbia, SC) in a AAAA Region 4 test, on Tuesday, January 7. Midland Valley will attempt to improve on its 10-4 season record. The Eagles come into the test with a 4-9 record after their 60-43 non-league loss to River Bluff (Lexington, SC).

The Eagles (1-8) will now prepare for their test against Butler (Augusta, GA). The Bulldogs come into the AA Region 4 test with a 6-6 record. In their last test, Butler held off Keenan (Columbia, SC), 70-66, in a non-league test.
