In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Desert Vista Thunder basketball team scored a big 74-42 triumph over the Wilson Tigers.

The Thunder (7-5) will now prepare for their contest against McClintock (Tempe, AZ). The Chargers go into the non-league contest with a 8-3 record. In their last contest, McClintock smashed Higley (Gilbert, AZ), 58-55, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Tigers confront the Houston Mustangs (Germantown, TN) in a non-league contest, on Sunday, January 5. Wilson will attempt to better on its 10-3 season record. The Mustangs go into the contest with a 11-5 record after their 58-55 non-league win over Westlake (Atlanta, GA).
