The Pleasant Valley Spartans basketball team scored 55 points and held the visiting Central Clinton Sabers to 38 in the Spartans league triumph on Friday.

The Spartans now sport a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ames for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 6. Pleasant Valley will battle a Little Cyclones team coming off a 49-32 league win over Marshalltown (Marshalltown, IA). The Little Cyclones record now stands at 5-2.

The Sabers (4-4) will now prepare for their contest against Assumption (Davenport, IA). The Knights enter the Mississippi contest with a 7-5 record. In their last contest, Assumption ran past Cedar Falls (Cedar Falls, IA), 72-66, in a non-league contest.
