The Central Eagles basketball team scored 46 points and held the visiting Cheraw Braves to 39 in the Eagles league triumph on Friday.

The Eagles now sport a 5-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Buford for a AA Region 5 contest on Monday, January 8. Central will battle a Yellowjackets team coming off a 74-28 league loss to Andrew Jackson (Kershaw, SC). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 0-14.

The Braves (5-13) will now prepare for their contest against Chesterfield (Chesterfield, SC). The Golden Rams enter the AA Region 5 contest with a 1-12 record. In their last contest, Chesterfield was nudged by York Prep (Rock Hill, SC), 71-46, in a league contest.
