Alabama High School Basketball - Marion County overwhelms Hubbertville
January 5, 2024: Guin, AL 35563 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Marion County Red Raiders (Guin, AL) and the visiting Hubbertville Lions (Fayette, AL), saw Marion County's basketball squad wallop Hubbertville by a tally of 65-33.
With the victory, Marion County improves its record to 9-8 on the campaign. The Red Raiders host Red Bay (Red Bay, AL) to play the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Monday, January 8. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 0-8. Red Bay lost 42-36 in their recent league challenge against Lamar County (Vernon, AL)
Next up, the Lions play the Lynn Bears (Lynn, AL) in a 1A Area 11 challenge, on Tuesday, January 9. Hubbertville will attempt to improve on its 5-6 season record. The Bears come into the challenge with a 3-7 record after their 61-36 non-league loss to Winston County (Double Springs, AL).
