The Northwestern Trojans (Rock Hill, SC) basketball nipped the host Spartanburg Vikings (Spartanburg, SC), 54-47 in Friday's non-league test.

The Trojans (3-8) will now prepare for their test against Lancaster (Lancaster, SC). The Bruins go into the AAAA Region 3 test with a 6-4 record.

The Vikings now own a 9-6 record. They play next when they host James F. Byrnes for a AAAAA Region 2 test on Tuesday, January 10.
