Texas High School Basketball - Stratford overwhelms Sanford-Fritch
January 6, 2023: Fritch, TX 79036 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Stratford Elks (Stratford, TX) and the host Sanford-Fritch Eagles (Fritch, TX), saw Stratford's basketball squad wallop Sanford-Fritch by a tally of 62-23.
With the victory, Stratford improves its record to 14-7 on the campaign. The Elks host West Texas (Stinnett, TX) to confront the Comanches in a 2A Region I District 1 challenge on Tuesday, January 10. The Comanches come into the challenge with a record of 15-7. West Texas lost 85-16 in their recent league challenge against Gruver (Gruver, TX)
Next up, the Eagles confront the Booker Kiowas (Booker, TX) in a 2A Region I District 1 challenge, on Tuesday, January 10. Sanford-Fritch will attempt to improve on its 12-4 season record. The Kiowas come into the challenge with a 6-13 record after their 36-35 league loss to Sunray (Sunray, TX).
