In Monday's non-league test, the Midland Legacy Rebels (Midland, TX) basketball squad knocked off the visiting Abilene Eagles (Abilene, TX), by a score of 58-43.

Next, the Rebels encounter the Midland Bulldogs (Midland, TX) in a 6A Region I District 2 test, on Friday, January 10. Midland Legacy will attempt to improve on its 15-7 season record. The Bulldogs come into the test with a 9-15 record after their 59-56 non-league loss to Andrews (Andrews, TX).

The Eagles (15-9) will now prepare for their test against Legacy (Wichita Falls, TX). The Leopards come into the 5A Region I District 4 test with a 11-7 record. In their last test, Legacy beat Brock (Brock, TX), 42-33, in a non-league test.
