In Monday's non-league test, the West Ashley Wildcats (Charleston, SC) basketball squad got by the host North Charleston Cougars (North Charleston, SC), by a score of 66-61.

Next, the Wildcats clash with the James Island Trojans (Charleston, SC) in a AAAAA Region 8 test, on Friday, January 10. West Ashley will attempt to improve on its 9-6 season record. The Trojans come into the test with a 9-6 record after their 49-35 non-league win over Lucy Beckham (Mt. Pleasant, SC).

The Cougars (9-6) will now prepare for their test against Military Magnet Academy (North Charleston, SC). The Eagles come into the non-league test with a 5-9 record. In their last test, Military Magnet Academy was nipped by Fort Dorchester (North Charleston, SC), 95-43, in a non-league test.
