In Tuesday's league contest, the host Mallard Creek Mavericks basketball team scored a good 69-54 win over the Harding University Rams.

The Mavericks (7-7) will now prepare for their contest against Hough (Cornelius, NC). The Huskies come into the 3A/4A Queen City contest with a 7-6 record. In their last contest, Hough was topped by West Charlotte (Charlotte, NC), 65-53, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Rams battle the West Charlotte Lions (Charlotte, NC) in a 3A/4A Queen City contest, on Wednesday, January 8.
