In Tuesday's league contest, the visiting Piedmont Community Charter Patriots basketball team scored a good 69-52 triumph over the Valor Preparatory Academy Owls .

The Patriots (6-5) will now prepare for their contest against Carolina International (Concord, NC). The Comets go into the 1A Metro 8 contest with a 10-4 record. In their last contest, Carolina International topped Jackson Day (Charlotte, NC), 62-50, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Owls battle the Covenant Classical Warriors (Concord, NC) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, January 9. Valor Preparatory Academy will attempt to better on its 3-10 season record. The Warriors go into the contest with a 3-4 record after their 47-11 non-league win over The Fletcher School (Charlotte, NC).
