January 8, 2025: Oswego, IL 60543 The crowd at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Oswego Panthers (Oswego, IL) and the visiting Aurora East Tomcats (Aurora, IL), observed Oswego's basketball team overwhelm Aurora East by a score of 72-23.
The Panthers (7-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Plainfield Central (Plainfield, IL). The Wildcats come into the non-league challenge with a 1-11 record. In their last challenge, Plainfield Central was routed by Joliet West (Joliet, IL), 54-25, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Tomcats battle the Larkin Royals (Elgin, IL) in a Upstate Eight challenge, on Thursday, January 9. Aurora East will attempt to improve on its 2-17 season record. The Royals come into the challenge with a 9-6 record after their 69-52 league loss to Streamwood (Streamwood, IL).
