In Wednesday's league contest, the visiting Ridge View Blazers basketball team scored a close 77-73 triumph over the Spring Valley Vikings.

The Blazers (8-6) will now prepare for their contest against West Florence (Florence, SC). The Knights go into the non-league contest with a 1-10 record. In their last battle, West Florence was nudged by Blythewood (Blythewood, SC), 71-13, in a non-league battle.

The Vikings now own a 9-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Westwood for a AAAAA Region 5 battle on Monday, January 13. Spring Valley will meet a Redhawks squad coming off a 62-53 league loss to Ridge View (Columbia, SC). The Redhawks record now stands at 6-10.
