The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Wren Hurricanes (Piedmont, SC) and the visiting Laurens Raiders (Laurens, SC), observed Wren's basketball team overwhelm Laurens by a score of 57-36.

The Hurricanes (11-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Southside (Greenville, SC). The Tigers come into the AAAA Region 1 challenge with a 7-4 record. In their last challenge, Southside trounced Emerald (Greenwood, SC), 55-30, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Raiders encounter the Westside Rams (Anderson, SC) in a AAAA Region 1 challenge, on Tuesday, January 14. Laurens will attempt to improve on its 5-9 season record. The Rams come into the challenge with a 9-1 record after their 75-24 league win over Emerald (Greenwood, SC).
