The The New Community School Sabers basketball team scored 60 points and restricted the host Fredericksburg Academy Falcons to 14 in the Sabers non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Sabers now sport a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Williamsburg Christian Academy for a non-league contest on Thursday, January 12. The New Community School will battle a Eagles team coming off a 53-44 non-league loss to Summit Christian Academy (Yorktown, VA). The Eagles record now stands at 6-6.
The Falcons (0-6) will now prepare for their contest against Wakefield (The Plains, VA). The Fighting Owls come into the VISAA Division III contest with a 3-2 record. In their last contest, Wakefield was routed by St. Michael the Archangel (Fredericksburg, VA), 65-34, in a non-league contest.
