The United Lions bounced the visiting Purchase Line Red Dragons basketball squad by a final score of 67-33 in Friday's league outing.

Next, the Lions face the West Shamokin Wolves (Rural Valley, PA) in a Heritage outing, on Tuesday, January 14. United will attempt to upgrade on its 11-2 season record. The Wolves enter the outing with a 12-2 record after their 58-33 league win over Cambria Heights (Patton, PA).

The Red Dragons (2-11) will now prepare for their outing against Penns Manor (Clymer, PA). The Comets enter the Heritage outing with a 6-7 record. In their last outing, Penns Manor was overwhelmed by Conemaugh Valley (Johnstown, PA), 67-58, in a league outing.
