Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the South Aiken Thoroughbreds (Aiken, SC) and the visiting Airport Eagles (West Columbia, SC), saw South Aiken's basketball squad hold off Airport by a tally of 57-52.

With the victory, South Aiken improves its record to 4-15 on the campaign. The Thoroughbreds travel to Midland Valley (Graniteville, SC) to play the Mustangs in a AAAA Region 4 challenge on Tuesday, January 16. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a record of 1-12.

Next up, the Eagles play the Midland Valley Mustangs (Graniteville, SC) in a AAAA Region 4 challenge, on Monday, January 15. Airport will attempt to improve on its 7-11 season record. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a 1-12 record after their 64-50 league loss to Aiken (Aiken, SC).
