Michigan High School Basketball - Shrine Catholic thwarts Our Lady of the Lake Catholic
January 11, 2025: St. Joseph, MI 49085 The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Shrine Catholic Knights (Royal Oak, MI) and the host Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Lakers (St. Joseph, MI), observed Shrine Catholic's basketball team knock off Our Lady of the Lake Catholic by a score of 40-30.
The Knights (5-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Cardinal Mooney Catholic (Marine City, MI). The Cardinals come into the Catholic Intersectional I challenge with a 3-7 record. In their last challenge, Cardinal Mooney Catholic prevailed over University Liggett (Grosse Pointe Woods, MI), 74-71, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Lakers encounter the Black River Rats (Holland, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 13. Our Lady of the Lake Catholic will attempt to improve on its 3-6 season record. The Rats come into the challenge with a 2-7 record after their 66-47 league loss to Saugatuck (Saugatuck, MI).
