Louisiana High School Basketball - Hammond edges East Ascension
January 13, 2023: Hammond, LA 70401 The Hammond Tornadoes (Hammond, LA) basketball nipped the visiting East Ascension Spartans (Gonzales, LA), 54-52 in Friday's non-league test.
The Tornadoes (9-9) will now prepare for their test against Fontainebleau (Mandeville, LA). The Bulldogs go into the 5A District 6 test with a 11-12 record.
The Spartans now own a 9-5 record. They play next when they travel to Scotlandville for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 17. East Ascension will encounter a Hornets squad coming off a 77-51 non-league loss to Fairview (Grant, LA). The Hornets record now stands at 14-6.
