January 13, 2025: Sleepy Eye, MN 56085 The crowd at Monday's league challenge between the St. Mary's Knights (Sleepy Eye, MN) and the visiting Sleepy Eye Indians (Sleepy Eye, MN), observed St. Mary's's basketball team knock off Sleepy Eye by a score of 70-57.
The Knights (6-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop (Winthrop, MN). The Thunderbirds come into the A Section 2 challenge with a 5-7 record. In their last challenge, Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop prevailed over Wabasso (Wabasso, MN), 69-58, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Indians encounter the New Ulm Cathedral Greyhounds (New Ulm, MN) in a A Section 2 challenge, on Thursday, January 16. Sleepy Eye will attempt to improve on its 6-7 season record. The Greyhounds come into the challenge with a 4-7 record after their 77-49 league loss to Springfield (Springfield, MN).
