In Monday's non-league contest, the visiting Metro-East Lutheran Knights basketball team scored a close 29-28 win over the North Greene Spartans.

The Knights (2-14) will now prepare for their contest against West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] (Winchester, IL). The Cougars come into the non-league contest with a 8-8 record. In their last contest, West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] was tipped by Liberty (Liberty, IL), 50-42, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Spartans battle the New Berlin/Franklin/Waverly Vipers (New Berlin, IL) in a non-league contest, on Wednesday, January 15.
