Kentucky High School Basketball - Scott County thwarts Mercer County
January 14, 2023: Harrodsburg, KY 40330 The Scott County Cardinals (Georgetown, KY) basketball knocked off the host Mercer County Titans (Harrodsburg, KY), 66-49 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Cardinals (4-9) will now prepare for their test against Sayre (Lexington, KY). The Spartans go into the District 42 test with a 9-4 record. In their last test, Sayre notched a victory over Model (Richmond, KY), 69-35, in a non-league test.
The Titans now own a 4-9 record. They play next when they travel to East Jessamine for a District 46 test on Tuesday, January 17. Mercer County will encounter a Jaguars squad coming off a 58-49 league win over Burgin (Burgin, KY). The Jaguars record now stands at 4-12.
