South Carolina High School Basketball - Union County thwarts Broome

The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Union County Yellowjackets (Union, SC) and the host Broome Centurions (Spartanburg, SC), observed Union County's basketball team knock off Broome by a score of 57-46.

The Yellowjackets (10-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Chapman (Inman, SC). The Panthers come into the AAA Region 3 challenge with a 5-12 record. In their last challenge, Chapman was knocked off by Mountain View Prep (Spartanburg, SC), 57-51, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Centurions encounter the Greer Middle College Blazers (Taylors, SC) in a AAA Region 3 challenge, on Friday, January 17. Broome will attempt to improve on its 8-9 season record. The Blazers come into the challenge with a 12-4 record after their 76-59 league loss to Woodruff (Woodruff, SC).
