The Miller School of Albemarle Mavericks basketball team scored 79 points and limited the visiting Virginia Episcopal School Bishops to 54 in the Mavericks league triumph on Tuesday.

The Mavericks now have a 7-9 record. They play next when they host New Covenant for a Virginia Independent game on Friday, January 17. Miller School of Albemarle will confront a Gryphons team coming off a 57-43 league win over Fishburne Military (Waynesboro, VA). The Gryphons record now stands at 11-1.

With the loss, Virginia Episcopal School falls to 6-8 on the campaign. The Bishops travel to Hargrave Military Academy (Chatham, VA) to confront the Tigers in a Virginia Independent game on Friday, January 17. The Tigers go into the game with a record of 13-11.
