January 15, 2025: Sedro-Woolley, WA 98284 The crowd at Wednesday's league challenge between the Sedro-Woolley Cubs (Sedro-Woolley, WA) and the visiting Ferndale Golden Eagles (Ferndale, WA), observed Sedro-Woolley's basketball team knock off Ferndale by a score of 59-48.
The Cubs (6-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Mount Vernon (Mount Vernon, WA). The Bulldogs come into the 1A/2A/3A Northwest challenge with a 5-7 record. In their last challenge, Mount Vernon prevailed over Squalicum (Bellingham, WA), 68-67, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Golden Eagles encounter the Bellingham Bayhawks (Bellingham, WA) in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest challenge, on Friday, January 17. Ferndale will attempt to improve on its 6-7 season record. The Bayhawks come into the challenge with a 7-6 record after their 70-35 league loss to Lakewood (Arlington, WA).
