The crowd at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Montpelier Solons (Montpelier, VT) and the visiting North Country Union Falcons (Newport, VT), observed Montpelier's basketball team overwhelm North Country Union by a score of 93-53.

The Solons (8-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Lamoille (Hyde Park, VT). The Lancers come into the Capital challenge with a 5-3 record. In their last challenge, Lamoille trounced Lyndon Institute (Lyndon Center, VT), 62-50, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Falcons encounter the Thetford Academy Panthers (Thetford, VT) in a Capital challenge, on Wednesday, January 22. North Country Union will attempt to improve on its 4-5 season record.
