Illinois High School Basketball - Pontiac crushes Paxton-Buckley-Loda
January 16, 2024: Paxton, IL 60957 Pontiac Indians (Pontiac, IL) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Paxton-Buckley-Loda Panthers (Paxton, IL), 61-27 in a league bout.
With the victory, Pontiac upgrades its record to 10-7 on the campaign. The Indians host Prairie Central (Fairbury, IL) to play the Hawks in a Illini Prairie bout on Friday, January 19. The Hawks come into the battle with a record of 13-5. Prairie Central lost 64-39 in their recent league battle against St. Joseph-Ogden (St. Joseph, IL)
The Panthers (4-14) will now prepare for their battle against Monticello (Monticello, IL). The Sages come into the Illini Prairie battle with a 10-9 record. In their last battle, Monticello trounced Olympia (Stanford, IL), 49-44, in a non-league battle.
