New York High School Basketball - Walt Whitman knocks off William Floyd
January 16, 2025: Mastic Beach, NY 11951 In Thursday's league contest, the visiting Walt Whitman Wildcats basketball team scored a good 50-41 win over the William Floyd Colonials.
The Wildcats (12-3) will now prepare for their contest against Patchogue-Medford (Medford, NY). The Raiders come into the Section 11 AAA-1 contest with a 0-3 record.
In their next game, the Colonials battle the St. John the Baptist Cougars (West Islip, NY) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, January 18. William Floyd will attempt to better on its 5-8 season record. The Cougars come into the contest with a 1-0 record after their 48-42 league win over Holy Trinity (Hicksville, NY).
