The Swansea Tigers basketball team (Swansea, SC), was overwhelmed 59-31 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Lower Richland Diamond Hornets (Hopkins, SC)

The Diamond Hornets now possess a 4-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Orangeburg-Wilkinson for a AAA Region 5 battle on Friday, January 20. Lower Richland will confront a Bruins team coming off a 68-44 league win over Dreher (Columbia, SC). The Bruins record now stands at 12-6.

The Tigers (1-14) will now prepare for their battle against Brookland-Cayce (Cayce, SC). The Bearcats come into the AAA Region 5 battle with a 6-10 record. In their last battle, Brookland-Cayce trounced Gilbert (Gilbert, SC), 72-45, in a league battle.
