Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Scotlandville Hornets (Baton Rouge, LA) and the visiting East Ascension Spartans (Gonzales, LA), saw Scotlandville's basketball squad wallop East Ascension by a tally of 59-34.

With the victory, Scotlandville improves its record to 15-6 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to Walker (Walker, LA) to confront the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Thursday, January 19. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 23-3. Walker won 56-35 in their recent non-league challenge against Huntington (Shreveport, LA)

Next up, the Spartans confront the St. Amant Gators (St. Amant, LA) in a 5A District 5 challenge, on Friday, January 27. East Ascension will attempt to improve on its 9-6 season record.
