Hilton Head Island Seahawks (Hilton Head Island, SC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting May River Sharks (Bluffton, SC), 42-33 in a league bout.

With the win, Hilton Head Island upgrades its record to 9-9 on the season. The Seahawks travel to James Island (Charleston, SC) to clash with the Trojans in a AAAA Region 7 bout on Friday, January 20. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 12-8. James Island lost 30-28 in their recent league bout against Lucy Beckham (Mt. Pleasant, SC)

Next up, the Sharks clash with the Bluffton Bobcats (Bluffton, SC) in a AAAA Region 7 bout, on Friday, January 20. May River will attempt to upgrade on its 6-5 season record. The Bobcats go into the bout with a 12-4 record after their 36-17 league win over Colleton County (Walterboro, SC).
