The Gardena Panthers basketball team scored 36 points and held the visiting Banning Pilots to 22 in the Panthers league triumph on Wednesday.

The Panthers now sport a 10-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Rancho Dominguez for a Marine contest on Friday, January 19. Gardena will meet a Lobos team coming off a 45-30 league loss to Narbonne (Harbor City, CA). The Lobos record now stands at 4-9.

The Pilots (9-8) will now prepare for their contest against San Pedro (San Pedro, CA). The Pirates enter the Marine contest with a 10-8 record. In their last contest, San Pedro ran past Carson (Carson, CA), 54-41, in a league contest.
