The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Palisades Pumas (Charlotte, NC) and the host Ardrey Kell Knights (Charlotte, NC), observed Palisades's basketball team edge Ardrey Kell by a score of 49-43.

The Pumas (10-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Berry (Charlotte, NC). The Cardinals come into the 4A South Meck challenge with a 6-12 record. In their last challenge, Berry edged Olympic (Charlotte, NC), 63-47, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Knights encounter the Legion Collegiate Academy Lancers (Rock Hill, SC) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 20. Ardrey Kell will attempt to improve on its 12-3 season record. The Lancers come into the challenge with a 5-17 record after their 73-35 non-league loss to Greensboro Day School (Greensboro, NC).
