January 17, 2025: Gervais, OR 97026 The Blanchet Catholic Cavaliers (Salem, OR) basketball crushed the host Gervais Cougars (Gervais, OR), 63-41 in Friday's non-league bout.
The Cavaliers now possess a 6-8 record. They play next when they travel to Santiam Christian for a 3A PacWest bout on Wednesday, January 22. Blanchet Catholic will play a Eagles team coming off a 77-49 league win over Sheridan (Sheridan, OR). The Eagles record now stands at 9-5.
With the loss, Gervais falls to 3-10 on the campaign. The Cougars host Delphian (Sheridan, OR) to play the Dragons in a 2A Tri-River bout on Monday, January 20. The Dragons go into the bout with a record of 2-6. Delphian lost 71-64 in their recent league bout against Kennedy (Mt. Angel, OR)
