The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Hampton County Hurricanes (Varnville, SC) and the visiting Whale Branch Warriors (Beaufort, SC), observed Hampton County's basketball team overwhelm Whale Branch by a score of 62-41.

The Hurricanes (12-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Bridges Prep (Beaufort, SC). The Buccaneers come into the AA Region 5 challenge with a 12-4 record. In their last challenge, Bridges Prep trounced Lake Marion (Santee, SC), 48-38, in a league challenge.
