The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Highlands Highlanders (Highlands, NC) and the host Andrews Wildcats (Andrews, NC), observed Highlands's basketball team edge Andrews by a margin of 42-36.

The Highlanders (8-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Towns County (Hiawassee, GA). The Indians come into the non-league challenge with a 5-13 record. In their last challenge, Towns County was tipped by Lake Oconee Academy (Greensboro, GA), 38-31, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Wildcats battle the Hayesville Yellowjackets (Hayesville, NC) in a 1A Smoky Mountain challenge, on Tuesday, January 21. Andrews will attempt to better on its 7-7 season record. The Yellowjackets come into the challenge with a 6-6 record after their 43-38 non-league win over Summit Charter (Cashiers, NC).
