January 17, 2025: Bandon, OR 97411 The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Bandon Tigers (Bandon, OR) and the visiting Oakland Oakers (Oakland, OR), observed Bandon's basketball team overcome Oakland by a margin of 35-22.
The Tigers (11-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Myrtle Point (Myrtle Point, OR). The Bobcats come into the 2A Sunset challenge with a 12-4 record. In their last challenge, Myrtle Point defeated Reedsport (Reedsport, OR), 67-18, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Oakers battle the Illinois Valley Cougars (Cave Junction, OR) in a 2A Sunset challenge, on Tuesday, January 21. Oakland will attempt to better on its 8-8 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 6-8 record after their 42-41 league loss to Gold Beach (Gold Beach, OR).
