In Friday's non-league test, the Merritt Island Christian Cougars (Merritt Island, FL) basketball squad trounced the visiting First Academy Eagles (Leesburg, FL), by a score of 53-18.

Next, the Cougars encounter the St. Edward's Pirates (Vero Beach, FL) in a non-league test, on Saturday, January 18. Merritt Island Christian will attempt to improve on its 7-9 season record. The Pirates come into the test with a 8-3 record after their 43-35 non-league win over Benjamin (Palm Beach Gardens, FL).
