January 18, 2024: Burlington, KS 66839 The Independence Bulldogs basketball team scored 49 points and restricted the host Burlington Wildcats to 30 in the Bulldogs non-league victory on Thursday.
The Bulldogs now sport a 5-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Silver Lake for a non-league contest on Friday, January 19. Independence will battle a Eagles team coming off a 69-17 non-league win over Sabetha (Sabetha, KS). The Eagles record now stands at 9-0.
The Wildcats (4-5) will now prepare for their contest against Sabetha (Sabetha, KS). The Bluejays come into the non-league contest with a 2-7 record. In their last contest, Sabetha was defeated by Silver Lake (Silver Lake, KS), 69-17, in a non-league contest.
